What we collect
Only what you hand us.
- The contact form
- Your name, email address, subject, and message. Used once to reply to you, then kept in our shared mailbox only as long as needed.
- Donations
- We don't see or store your card details — they go straight to Stripe (or PayPal, if you use that). We only ever see your name, email and donation amount, via our Stripe dashboard. Stripe's privacy notice: stripe.com/privacy.
- Membership
- Same as donations — Stripe handles the card side. We see your name, email, and subscription status so we can send member updates.
- Group attendance
- You don't need to book or register to attend a group. If you ask us to add you to a waiting list, we keep your name and contact method until a space opens up.
- Analytics
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and doesn't track you personally — no banner needed.
Who we share with
A short list.
- Stripe — donation + membership card processing.
- PayPal — only if you choose it as a fallback donation method.
- Microsoft 365 — our shared mailbox runs on Microsoft's email services.
- Cloudflare — web hosting, DNS, and cookieless analytics.
We don't sell or rent your details to anyone. We only share them where a law, a court, or a safeguarding duty clearly requires it.
Your rights
What you can ask for.
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- — Tell you what we hold about you.
- — Correct anything that's wrong.
- — Delete your details (unless the law says we have to keep them).
- — Stop using your details for something specific.
- — Give you a copy of what you've given us, in a reusable format.
Drop a line to shiftwales@gmail.com and we'll sort it within a month — usually much sooner.
Complaints
If we've got it wrong.
Tell us first — we'd rather fix it than escalate. If we can't resolve it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (the UK's data-protection regulator).
Cookies
None that track you.
We don't set tracking cookies. The site uses Cloudflare's cookieless analytics, and Stripe / PayPal may set their own cookies only after you click through to their hosted checkout pages.
